US R&B star Macy Gray has promised South African fans that she is going to give it her all when she takes to the stage at the DStv Delicious Festival this weekend.

Macy joins a star-studded line-up due to perform at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg on Saturday.

"We've never been here before so I don't know what to expect. We're just going to go all out and do crazy stuff," she told journalists at a press conference on Friday.

Speaking about fans getting access to her music, Macy said that radio doesn't play such an important role any more.

"A lot of the records on the radio sound the same. It's always harder to get played on radio, but I don't know that that is a big deal anymore. I don't know if it's as important as it used to be."
