US superstar Madonna granted permission to adopt twin girls from Malawi

US superstar Madonna's brood is set to grow after the high court granted her permission to adopt two more children from Malawi.

Malawi's High Court gave the singing sensation its approval to adopt twin girls from the country.

"Today the High Court made a ruling that she should go ahead and adopt the two children‚" Mlenga Mvula a spokesman for the Malawi judiciary told Reuters.

It has also been reported that Madonna was at the court for the verdict and appeared happy with the outcome.

This after Madonna's previous adoptions from the country caused anger amongst locals‚ who accused the government of allowing the pop star to skirt laws that ban non-residents from adopting children.

The pop star already has two other adopted children from the country David Banda and Mercy James. She also has two other children‚ Lourdes and Rocco from previous relationships.
