Popular muso DJ Speedsta is gatvol of young hip-hop artists having a sense of entitlement, and wants to set a few things straight.

The DJ, who hosts a popular weekly hip-hop show on YFM, was challenged by a Twitter follower on Thursday to play "new talent" instead of the usual artists.

  • IN MEMES: Twitter goes nuts for Cassper's #TitoMboweniCassper Nyovest nearly shut down Twitter on Friday when he released his highly-anticipated single Tito Mboweni.

Speedsta didn't take kindly to the challenge and soon got his Twitter fingers oiled up to get a couple of things off his chest, starting with the quality of music at the moment, and the need for new talent to take "their sh*t seriously"

Speedsta said that he was not in the business of playing music out of pity and that artists should start working on their craft , and not just show up like a person with no meat at a braai.

He ended his sermon with a shot at social media critics, who he claimed "think they f*cken sh*t ice cream".
