Robbie Malinga's album next in line to be disqualified by SAMAs - reports

Robbie Malinga's seld titled album was announced as a nominee for Best Afro-pop Album category but it seems as if the album may be disqualified for not meeting the criteria.

Sunday World have reported that there are plans to disqualify his duets album which consists of Robbie's collaborations with other artists.

The reports state that due to the album being made up of songs lifted from albums of various artists Malinga has produced, it may not be eligible or meet the SAMAs nomination requirements.

The committee is expected to take a decision before the event takes place. In the event that Robbie's album is disqualified, he would be the second artist, joining Nasty C, whose album

Malinga's album titled Robbie Malinga was nominated in the Best Afro-pop Album category. The  musician also joined controversial label Mabala Noise as part of a "partnership" that both party only vaguely discussed publicly.
