Calling all animal lovers!

In a bid to step up their local productions, M-Net has announced that viewers can look forward to exploring SA's great wild outdoors with a new wildlife series, The Wild Ones.

The announcement was made when M-Net whisked select media, including TshisaLIVE, on a press trip to Limpopo.

Journalists on the trip got the opportunity to visit The Rhino Orphanage which was a heart-wrenching sight.

The Wild Ones will be a 13-part series that will showcase some of the country's endangered wildlife and aims to educate people on a variety of ecological topics.

From emotionally-charged episodes at the rhino sanctuary to taking a dip into our oceans, animal lovers are evidently in for a treat.

"The content covered in The Wild Ones is not simply of a wildlife documentary nature; this series tells exquisite stories that will move and uplift our viewers every week,” said  M-Net’s director of channels Jan du Plessis.

It all happens from May 6 at 3pm on M-Net channel 101.
