TV star Andile Ncube has reflected on life after death, telling his followers that he does not believe that his friend Akhumzi Jezile will be there to greet him when he dies.

Andile got really deep on social media this week when he dished out a sermon on the afterlife and his relationship with his dear friend, who died earlier this year.

Andile was left shattered by Akhumzi's death in August. The former YoTV star was involved in a car crash that killed three other people including Joyous Celebrations singer Siyasanga Kobese and actor Thobani Mseleni.

"I don’t believe in life beyond the grave. I don’t believe there’ll be a reunion in the afterlife or a heavenly welcome party in my honour, hosted by my dad, Akhumzi or even my beloved grandmother."

Andile said all we could do as mortals was cease the day and make the most of it.

"I truly believe that this life, this one short and inauspicious lifetime, is all we have," he added.

He admitted that the thought kept him up at night as he tried to come to terms with the fact that he would never see those loved ones again.

"That keeps me up at night because I've had to make peace with the fact that this is all you and I had."

Andile's comments sparked a fierce debate in the comments section of his post but he only returned to tell a fan that shared his views that it was a "difficult belief to hold".
