This celebrity friendship is not the first to be in the spotlight. DJ Zinhle and Pearl Thusi recently had to pour cold water over a rumour that the fire in their friendship has died.
A video clip popped up on the TL, showing Pearl and Brandon with DJ Zinhle on stage at a recent gig. The audioless video showed Zinhle gesture Pearl away.
Taking to Twitter Zinhle set the record straight.
“Hey guys. I need to clear things up. Pearl and I had a great time and on the video you saw, I was gesturing to Brandon, whom I was playing a set with, to come and select the song because we were using his USBs,” she posted.
Pearl replied to Zinhle’s tweet saying it was obvious Zinhle and Brandon were working, so she gave them space.
“I’m actually so confused. I thought it was obvious that you guys were busy and I just decided to get out of the way. How it got to this point baffles me. Wild. That time we had so much fun.”

Cassper Nyovest says he is still friends with Thando Thabethe and their friendship is not just for the socials.
The rapper replied to a tweep who asked him about his friendship with the broadcaster and businesswoman.
"We are still good friends. Like check on each other, real conversations. Even when I’m not feeling well I can pick up the phone and reach out to her. Not everything is on social media," he replied.
