Social media sensation and DJ Lungelihle Zwane, popularly known as Uncle Waffles, is gearing up to release another body of work.

After the launch of her debut album Red Dragon in early 2022, which became one of the most streamed albums on Apple Music locally, the DJ has announced she will release her second project, Asylum.

“One year ago I released my debut project, unlocking a part of me I never knew existed, vulnerability I never knew I could feel. A year later, I’m doing it again. Welcome to the Asylum,” she announced on her social media timeline.

Since gaining fame after a video of her dancing to Young Stunna's Adiwele went viral in 2021, Uncle Waffles has been basking in success.

The Tanzania hit maker, who walked away with the Best DJ Africa award at the African Muzik Magazine Awards 2022, has been making big moves and receiving recognition across the globe from renowned stars.

Canadian rapper and singer Drake has been a proud supporter of the artist.

American singer Omarion also lauded Uncle Waffles for delivering an amazing performance at one of her gigs in the US.

“You [are] something special. Congratulations. I had a blast,” he wrote.

Uncle Waffles has been booked and selling out shows beyond the borders of Mzansi.
