YouTuber Mihlali Ndamase is unbothered about people who think she influenced the girlfriend allowance movement.

She shared her thoughts in a recent interview on L-Tido's podcast

“I saw a video of Nota saying his wife came up to him and asked him for a wife allowance, this was attributed to her seeing a video of you saying/encouraging ladies they need to get their wife or girlfriend allowance. What is a sufficient girlfriend allowance for Mihlali?” asked the rapper.

Answering the question, she seemed to not know who Nota was and denied having power over women.

“Hold on, so has no-one else in the world spoke about an allowance? Ya'll give me too much credit. Let me clarify something. I've never said put a gun to a man's head and say he must give you an allowance.”

“We all know there is a lot of married women who get a certain amount of money from their husbands to maintain the household every month, so what is the shock about?” she asked.

Mihlali recently opened up about her lover. She revealed they met on a video call.

The couple later went on their first date in Cape Town at a restaurant overlooking the beach and went to a popular club.

“I was charmed from the beginning, from the moment I spoke to this man. We were on the phone for six weeks until he couldn't wait any longer,” she said.

“I caught feelings. Love him like it's day one, from the moment we met we both just knew. Our first kiss was on the first day we met. He claims he did not know who I am.”
