The Metro FM Music Awards got tongues wagging this past weekend, with many unimpressed that K.O's Sete did not scoop Song of the Year.

Sete has been a street national anthem for a while and the Skhanda Nation was sure it would be honoured with the award's biggest prize.

Fast forward to Saturday and, jiggy jiggy, Betusile Mcinga's Ngena Noah was announced over the loudspeaker.

K.O was nominated in seven categories but walked away empty-handed.

While gospel Twitter was giving thanks, many others were crying foul and argued Sete should have won.

Rapper Cassper Nyovest shared his shock on the TL.

“I really thought K.O would take song of the year at the Metros. I’m sure I’m not the only one who thought so,” he wrote, adding Ngena Noah was catchy.

K.O gave good vibes to late rapper AKA, who won Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Hip Hop Artist and Best Male Artist.

“My dawg Kiernan AKA Forbes, your legacy is eternal. Congrats to the Megacy”.

Vth Season record label executive Raphael Benza told TshisaLIVE AKA would have been proud.

“It’s reaffirming to see what a brand and music legend he has become. Coming home as the biggest winner at the Metro FM awards again after 12 years was part of his milestones when we started the album project three years ago.

“I feel he is smiling down on us and bragging as usual to the good legends with him. It’s still hard not to hear and see him do it. This might be his biggest music project ever.”
