In 2021, Bonang announced she terminated her contract with CSA and took legal action against the global agency, saying she has “instructed my lawyers to investigate the possibility of criminal conduct by the company and its representatives”.
The agency hit back at the media personality's accusations, dismissing them as being without merit and accusing her of telling “half truths” about the situation. In a statement sent to TshisaLIVE at the time, CSA reiterated their earlier statement.
“Per our statement, Ms Matheba is in breach of multiple contracts with various clients as she has been absent to these brands and her own for the past six months. The matter is with our legal team who are awaiting a response to various letters sent to Ms Matheba's lawyer.
“We are not in the business of destroying brands, but rather in the business of building them. However, we believe in the merits of contracts and believe agreed upon terms should be respected and honoured.
“We hope an amicable solution can be found, where the value that has been created is not undermined or discredited. We are sad that there has been a parting of ways. We look back with fond memories of the achievements we made together and wish Bonang every success.”
As per Bonang's last update, the legal fight between the two parties is continuing.

From Johannesburg to New York and Dallas, episode two of Bonang Matheba's B'Dazzled promised to take the B-Force with their queen as she goes about her fashion world “takeover” and grows her empire.
After having made her fans wait for weeks to get a taste of what episode two would bring, Bonang released a 46-second trailer on Tuesday night.
More than the queen looking stunning — as always — and her international stops which include meeting American fashion designer and businessman Steve Madden, Bonang gives South Africa an update on her battle with Celebrity Services Africa (CSA).
In the video, she said she is still unable to quantify and articulate the pain she felt as a result of her far from amicable fallout with her former agency CSA.
