Cassper Nyovest has announced when he will drop his much anticipated new album.

The star took to his Twitter timeline to share it is all going down on July 28.

“I’m dropping in July. I have got two campaign bags I have to grab, then we [are] going straight into the album. I wish I could drop [the] album music sooner, but these bags are important. It’s two dope, meaningful songs that will hold us until we get lit. July, we bang until,” he tweeted.

Since the beginning of the year he has dropped hints about the album.

Here's what we know so far:

No amapiano

Cassper explained to a tweep he won't dabble in any other genre but hip-hop.

“No piano on the album at all. My last piano verse I did was a song called Hokoto by Hbk live act. The song killing it on the streets. After that, I locked in and I made my best hip-hop album at 32 years old.”

Mastered in LA

In April he announced the album's mastered overseas.

“The album [is] getting mixed now in LA. I need that crisp world-class knock! This s**t better bang,” he posted.

Best album yet

Cassper has six albums under his belt and said his upcoming album will be “a masterpiece”.

“I been in the studio messing around. Don’t know how long it’ll take, but I want to create a masterpiece. I owe [it] to myself,” he tweeted.

Recorded on a farm

In April he headed to his Instagram timeline to share snaps of him having dinner after recording.

“Dr B and his beautiful wife had us over for dinner last night to celebrate the recording of the new album. I recorded the album on one of their beautiful farms. So much wisdom was shared last night. Might just add a verse or two to it.”

Dropping the album as a project

He told his fans he had no plans to release singles and wanted the whole album to drop at once.

“This album is perfect. I might not drop a single. I might just drop the whole project so it’s received in context. I don’t want any confusion, so the song that is dropping before the album isn’t a single. It’s a campaign. It’s a dope song but it’s not the sound of the album.”
