Seasoned actor Clint Brink said he used to smash his way through tough times until he met wife Steffi.

He penned a lengthy post on his Instagram timeline detailing his struggles and he encouraged others to keep fighting.

He got candid about how lonely life get sometimes and things he used to tell himself to get better.

“You don't have the luxury of being depressed Clint there's too much to do. There is no margin for error. Nobody is coming to help you, no-one cares about your struggle so don't bother complaining. Recover, Regain your focus and get on with it was always my mindset and I would just smash my way through tough times,” he wrote.

He said it all changed when he met Steffi.

“But God knew what I needed and through the love & companionship of my wife, I am reminded that He is always with me. To anyone dealing with great adversity in your life today I encourage you to keep fighting to stay in the light. Even if you feel like it, you are not in the fight alone.”

The Brinks have been joined at the hip since 2016.

In a sweet note to her future hubby then, Steffi described Clint as “the man I have been praying for all my life”.

“I can't wait to spend my forever with you. May God's hand be on us, as we go out into the world to gather his children. Forever is more important than momentary pleasures. May everyone's walk of life be a beautiful journey. And yes, there may be thorns in the road, but you know God will carry you when times get tough! Thorns have nothing on us all. You are highly favoured and loved!” she wrote.
