The “big weekend” that some have been waiting for is finally here and Somizi has hinted that he will be owning the red carpet.

We can only wait one more day before seeing how the seasoned media personality brings this year's theme for Hollywoodbets' Durban July, Out of This World, to life

Somizi is synonymous with making grand entrances at events and this time he has issued a warning to those attending the festivities on Saturday.

Taking to his Instagram he posted a short TikTok clip letting his followers know it's going down on Saturday.

In his mentions many shared how they could not wait to see what he has in store.

“You are being warned, please make sure I am giving you an inside scoop,” said his friend, businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize.

“Meaning you are the whole Durban July song,” commented another.

From a fashion alert to a little banter, 947 radio presenter Anele Mdoda took to her timeline, pleading with attendees to make sure they have their ducks in a row before travelling to the city.

“Durban July chronicles are about to be all over the timeline. Please, please Abeg ... have a concrete plan now on how you are getting home.

“Treat this weekend like doing iVosho ... you must know how you are going to come up while you are going down. Thanks for attending my Ted Talk.”

In a recent YouTube video DJ Sbu sung the praises of the multitalented media personality.

“Somizi is royalty when it comes to South African entertainment, whether you are talking presenting, television, performing, reality shows. Somizi has done it all. There isn't anything Somizi has not done in this industry. Somizi is the god of the South African entertainment industry, and he's not going anywhere.”
