Thuso Mbedu was brightening up the streets of Croatia in Europe as she looked radiant in a bright yellow dress for her 32nd birthday.

Taking to her socials, she shared snaps and a clip of a woman who paid her a compliment while she was walking around.

Croatia is famed for its scenic pebbled beaches, one of which the actress was overlooking in one of her snaps.

''My sister was born in April 1989. She was a quiet and sad child. They’d always find her sitting, staring wistfully through the window. She didn’t speak or smile or dance. Then on July 8 1991 I was born. Her greatest gift.

“I’m told my sister broke out into song and dance and hasn’t stopped singing. I’m a true light to her which is why I wore yellow today. My sister (and my family) will deny it but it’s because this is only the first draft, don’t listen to them. It sounds better in my head,'' she captioned the post.

In a separate post, the star reflected on how far she has come since 2022 when The Woman King cast surprised her on her birthday.

Thuso recently inked a deal with L’Oréal Paris as a brand ambassador and spokesperson for the global cosmetics company.

L'Oréal Paris welcomed Thuso to its family, saying: “We are thrilled to announce the talented South African actress Thuso Mbedu as a new brand ambassador and spokesperson for L'Oréal Paris in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.

In addition to her successful international acting career, Thuso is passionate about empowering women and girls by providing them with educational resources alongside the non-profit organisation Save The Children.

In April, Dior announced Thuso would be joining it as one of the faces of its new campaign.
