Friends and family gathered recently at the Silverlakes Inn Farm Hotel to commemorate the life of seasoned actor Bradley Olivier.

The actor was laid to rest on Saturday.

His mom Katie Visagie broke down crying when she remembered the kind of son Bradley was to her.

“I just want to thank everyone for being here today and thank you very much for the role you played in his life.”

His mother said Bradley appreciated everyone's role in his life no matter how big or small.

“I just want to thank David for your role too. Bradley was my everything. I could send a please call me in the wee hours of the morning and he would immediately call and ask 'Mommy what's wrong?' Then he would ask or send a message, 'Mommy, where are you?'. Lastly, I want to thank the Lord for the wonderful times we had together.”

His sister Sheena-Kay Gouws said she was not prepared to say goodbye to her brother.

“In the past two to three years we've grown tremendously as brother and sister. We were surely each other's support structure. He was a person we could call any time of the day. We had a lot of ups and downs but that brought us close as brother and sister. You were my everything, my dad, my support system for me and my daughter, you took my daughter as your own, even when you had your own. My daughter was still your number one. I want to salute you, brother, you will always be my number one.”

Bradley's partner Candice Isaacs shared that they met at the airport, and she had to relocate from Namibia to be with the love of her life.

“I can say we knew this was forever, and our love would last. Bradley and I immediately started our lives together and what a joyous journey it was. There was always laughter and many hugs, and as always, a two-man braai.”

“The love Bradley had for Kiara was of great depth, even though we've reached this tragic outcome. The time he had with his princess was such an impact that she will forever know what it is like to be treated like a princess, to be deeply loved like a princess and the standard of love she more than deserved.”
