“Family and adventure were always at the centre of his life. If it wasn’t an impromptu family braai in Randburg, he was planning our next trip to some place that I didn’t want to go to. But once we’d get there, it would be amazing.
“Regardless of the strain, we always knew we loved each other, and it was aptly said in every text, which ended with the words ‘Love first, Love always.’ But today, I must find new ways to embody that love and find a new place to share my heart.
“He is the smile that captured us all. And his laughter filled every room. I don’t know how to begin to say goodbye when there is still so much love to give.”

'Missing uBaba' — Nay Maps remembers his late father

Nay Maps has reflected on three years without his father on the anniversary of his death.
In a tribute on his Instagram timeline, the actor spoke of how he was struggling to come to terms with the loss of his dad.
“Missing uBaba July 12. It’s always a hard month but thank you that you are there for me Dad,” he wrote.
Langa Mavuso also recently took to his social media timeline in remembrance of a deceased loved one.
The musician shared a special moment with his partner, late celebrity chef Lentswe Bhengu-Mafoko, who died in early March after suffering a short illness.
“This is how people act when they know you wrote the song about them. There’s so many more my love,” he captioned the post.
