When explaining why she chose to document parts of her life for the world to see, DJ Zinhle said she wanted to control the narrative of her story.
“There are so many unexpected things about me. I wanted to tell my story on my own terms. It's crazy, I never imagined winning a Safta — it’s a pretty cool achievement,” she told Sunday Times.
“I share a lot more stories about my family and friends and what they’re up to. I definitely have so much fun working with my friends and family on the show.”
Although AKA's mother Lynn Forbes did not feature much in the previous season, Lynn told TshisaLIVE her appearance in season 4 of DJ Zinhle: The Unexpected will show how she juggles her family dynamics with work.
“I've always been about my family and I always will be. I've always been about wellness and I'll always be.”

From motherhood to being a wife and navigating the death of her first baby's father AKA, the trailer shared by BET showcased the Indlovu hitmaker baring it all on the Safta-winning show set to air on September 30.
