Cassper Nyovest is giving himself, the team and tsibipians (his fans) a pat on the back for a job well done after he appeared on Apple Music’s Rap Life Radio cover.
Taking to his X timeline, he shared the snap and reflected on his 10 years in the game and seven albums.
“It’s been a decade since I got my first hit, getting on the cover of RAP LIFE with my seventh studio album Solomon, 10 years deep on top of the game is such dope pat on the back for myself, my team, and MY FANS! It shows that we have stood the test of time comfortably. Solomon is a project that is solely inspired by the rap music that I grew up listening to. It’s my most mature yet simplest offering. Enjoy,” he wrote.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE about Solomon he said the project was like a Grootman album for him.
“I've settled into my position in the game. This is who I am. I am no longer young, no longer the hottest guy on the block, I'm not as excited as the new guys — but I'm the guy who did it like nobody did.
“I'm the guy with the game, with jewels. I'm the guy they want to get the information from, so this is the album where I'm basically giving out game. I'm in my element and I'm calm about it. I'm very particular about it,” he said.
Having recorded his album in a remote area with his team, Cassper said he chose to film the process with the hopes of releasing it one day.
