Thapelo Molomo took to Instagram on Monday to share his weight-loss transformation.
The Idols SA season 18 winner has been on a fitness journey since beginning his tour in Europe and America in October 2023 promoting his EP, Uyaphila.
“I realised that I gained so much weight and most of my clothes are not fitting me anymore so I felt the need to start working out,” he tells TshisaLIVE.
He's lost 21kg and now weighs 99kg.
“I had to cut down sugar, no junk, and avoid heavy meals. I ate greens such as green salads and fish. My workouts at the gym include cardio more, which speeds up weight loss.
“I've been consistent with my diet and the gym. It was not easy having to not eat junk like pizza for a while and actually eat greens. I ate twice instead of three times daily.”
Thapelo wants to touch people's lives with his story and has plans to make an impact beyond borders.
“This has taught me that I can achieve anything I want as long as I'm focused on it. Life after Idols has been honestly great for me as I'm doing music abroad. I've released an EP which has been doing super well and am planning a live recording.”
