Controversial rapper Lehlogonolo “Shebeshxt” Chauke's public image is centred on him being blasè, brazen and sometimes threatening violence when provoked and his brand as an artist might be under threat if he continues in this fashion.

Most of his fans have gravitated to him because of his authentic and relatable personality but it seems his violent nature is starting to have a negative affect on his career, some have warned on social media.

The Limpopo-born rapper shot up the trends lists again after another violent public altercation.

A video of him punching someone who allegedly threw a bottle at his car while he was driving went viral on social media.

He apologised, vowing never to act in that manner again.

Shebeshxt shared a video of himself with the man he was in the altercation with, saying he had asked for forgiveness.

“I'm with him now, I came to ask for forgiveness. I made a mistake for sure. I won't do it again.”
