All roads lead to Balcony Mix Africa at this year's Durban July.

Balcony Mix Africa is founded by award-winning pioneers of African dance music, Major League DJz (Banele and Bandile Mbere).

The event promises an electrifying atmosphere with some of South Africa’s favourite acts. Attendees can expect a fusion of African dance music beats, pulsating rhythms and an all-around energetic ambience with global entertainment nuances, according to the organisers.

It takes place at Berea Rovers in Durban on July 7. Major League, Oscar Mbo, Distruction Boyz, Kabza De Small, Culoe De Song, Kelvin Momo, Sun El Musician and more will perform on the day.

Award-winning event organiser Junior Lavie told TshisaLIVE the venue is located in the heart of the city and feeds into the intention of the well-attended weekend events stimulating the local economy.

“Partygoers can anticipate an electric vibe with a mix of high-energy music, captivating visuals, and diverse people from all over the world,” he said.

When asked how Balcony Africa mix will stand out from other post-event celebrations, he said: “This event distinguishes itself by curating a unique experience. It is a medley of music, entertainment and core African dance music cultural nuances that reflect the spirit of Durban July. It offers a dynamic fusion of local and African influences, creating an unforgettable celebration.”

Lavie said the Durban July injects revenue into the city through tourism, hospitality and related industries, bolstering local businesses and stimulating economic growth.

“The Durban July serves as a cornerstone of the local party scene, shaping trends and setting the standard for entertainment and nightlife experiences in the province. It acts as a catalyst for creativity, innovation and collaboration within the local entertainment industry.”
