A shining example to our youth: iLIVE

Joy Kriel, by e-mail: I just want to convey my congratulations to Siphile Buthelezi on his achievements, as reported in "From a tiny shack to the Big Apple" (March 13).

He is a shining example of the fact that poverty does not have to stand in the way of success.

Nor did he bemoan his fate, with life having given him a raw deal.

We definitely need more people like him to set the example to all the youth of our beautiful country.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.

The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
