In his column "Defiling the legacy of Chris Hani" yesterday, Justice Malala hypocritically discusses the life of Hani even though Malala himself never subscribed to Hani's ideology, Marxism-Leninism.

Malala omits to state that Hani fought not just for freedom and democracy, but also for socialism. In so doing, Malala bastardises the life and beliefs of Hani just to quench his daily thirst for unfair criticism of the ANC.

Malala is constantly and strongly at war against communism, yet for some reason decides to use the late Chris Hani as a weapon against the ANC.

It is even worse that Hani is irrelevant in his discussion of the deployment of the army to the Central African Republic.

Hani died a communist while fighting for a communist world.

Analysts like Malala should always raise that fact in their writing and praise Hani for that.
