BMW Group South Africa has recently been restoring some of its locally-built automotive icons. Last year they completed a 333i: that now much sought-after alternative to the original E30 M3 that was never made available on our shores. In May of this year the BMW Rosslyn plant finished off an E30 325is – a car known colloquially as the Gusheshe.

It was clean and silver and made all the right noises according to some of the local motoring journalists who got to drive it. Anyway, today it was involved in a serious incident – what appears to have been a head-on collision.
