Humans of New York touches down in SA

Humans of New York (HONY) is famous for capturing powerful images of every day New Yorkers who share their personal stories with creator Brandon Stanton. And now he's made his way to South Africa.

HONY has previously extended the stories of this living in Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and the Ukraine. And that's just a few of the countries that Stanton has visited, giving people a voice to his millions of followers on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

So, when Stanton shared touching images and stories by Johannesburg residents, Mzansi was more than excited. The photographer was also recently in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda.

Here are just a few of the people Stanton met on the streets of Joburg. From a mom raising two children to a man with a sick child, this is Joburg.
