A fresh wave of spam has hit Twitter, after the spammers hacked scores of accounts including the ones belonging to ANC Youth League spokesman Floyd Shivambu and City Press editor Ferial Haffajee according to a report.

ITWeb security reported that Shivambu's account @floydns was sending out suspicious looking links promoting weight loss on Sunday.

Haffajee was quick to pick up on the hacking, assuring his readers that he felt the were gorgeous just the way they are.

If your account has been hacked, you should change your password immediately, preferably to a non-dictionary word. If you use the same password for multiple online accounts, you should change it across all of them.
