South African bands Locnville and ChianoSky will open for teen sensation Justin Bieber when he performs here next month.

Big Concerts announced the news yesterday and added that few standing tickets for the show remained for sale.

"Beliebers", teenage fans of the star, were heartbroken when tickets for his Cape Town and Johannesburg shows sold out within six hours in December.

Even the star was so surprised by the sell-out that he took to twitter to celebrate.

"Always a good day when I find out two 90000 big stadiums in SAfrica got sold out for the Believe tour in one day, 5 months b4 the show!"

Locnville tweeted yesterday that it "it's official, we'll be opening up for Justin Bieber with ChianoSky. Can' t wait! ... See you there"!

The band, which has sold 100000 albums, consists of twin brothers Andrew and Brian Chaplin. Their single, Closer, tops the 5FM charts.

Nineteen-year-old ChianoSky sings a jazzy version of pop inspired by Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse and Marvin Gaye.
