Zonke's DVD a golden hit

Multi-platinum selling songstress Zonke Dikana's first live concert DVD has achieved gold status - 20000 sales - in the two months since its release.

Give and Take Live was conceptualised by Dikana, who also composed and musically directed the entire show.

It represents work from her albums Life, Love 'n Music and Ina Ethe. The DVD was recorded live at the Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City, southern Johannes-burg, in July.

"Ina Ethe had gone double platinum [40000 sales] in 12 months. I was expecting some good news regarding the DVD, but not in only two months," she said.

The DVD includes Viva the Legend, Uzondilinda, Ina Ethe and a song from her new album Say Now.

Dikana's plans for this year include her Give 'n Take tour.

"I'll also be spending time in the US establishing my presence and I'll be working on a new album to be released in 2015."
