Rapper Cassper Nyovest cleaned up at last weekend's Metro FM Awards but it was his barb aimed at actress Amanda du-Pont during the performance of his latest hit, Phumakim, that has dominated talk since.

The Doc Shebeleza hit- maker tweaked the lyrics from, "She ain't no Amanda du-Pont/She ain't tailored for me/Coz I only f**k with women that's as famous as me" to "Even Amanda du-Pont wasn't tailored for me/Now I really f**k with women as famous as me."

The rewrite fuelled speculation on social media that the pair had called it quits, especially after she was not at his side as he got up to accept five awards, including for best hip-hop album, best male album, song of the year, best hit single and the listeners' choice award.

Fans had got used to seeing the Swazi-born Skeem Saam actress and the rapper together.

@ShurLay_ tweeted: "I don't see Amanda du Pont anywhere #MMA14."

@OfentseTheOne asked: "But Cassper, where's Amanda du Pont? #MMA14."

Late last year they went public with their romance by sharing a passionate kiss on stage at the Channel O Music Video Awards.

She was quoted as saying their relationship was only "platonic".

The soapie star didn't seem bothered, watching the ceremony on television and posting selfies from home.

One Instagram user told her of Cassper's wins, to which she replied: "We thank God. Thanks for letting me know."

Du-Pont has been romantically linked to a Free State businessman, and Cassper seems keen on TV presenter Minnie Dlamini.
