YFM deejay spins his way to Las Vegas

Las Vegas is to soon get a dose of Mzansi's hottest beats - from the one and only DJ Ankletap. Bryce "Ankletap" Clarke, the 27-year-old YFM breakfast show host, will join international DJs in Sin City for the ultimate global DJ search competition. He was overwhelmingly chosen to represent South Africa by local clubbers at the past weekend's battle that saw six DJs playing their best 10-minute sets.Clarke was No 1 on the leader board even before he played his first track. His mash-up of house and electronic dance music had fists pumping and women twerking. Now the Potchefstroom-born DJ is planning to dominate the Las Vegas club scene.The global DJ search competition will have finalists from Japan, South Korea, Turkey, Paraguay, Columbia, Canada, Hungary, Turkey, Dominican Republic, Panama, Argentina and Costa Rica all vying for the opportunity to perform at a Las Vegas superclub.Clarke will be tapping into his "endless resources" in preparation for the competition, which he sees as "an opportunity".But Clarke is aware he will need to scale down the local feel and turn up the global sound to appeal to international clubbers."
