A biker was killed in tragic car collision which involved 21-year old Nape Phasha who recently featured on Vuzu 'Rich Kids'.

The disastrous collision took place on the corner of Netcare and Garstfontein streets in Pretoria yesterday at 18:30.

Captain Coba Brits, spokesperson for the Sunnyside cluster said a case of culpable homicide had been opened following the fatal car crash which left a 31-year-old biker dead. Netcare 911 paramedics who arrived at the scene assessed the biker and found he had died of his injuries prior to their arrival.

Brits also rubbished reports Phasha had tried to flee the scene.

"That is not true, the police have all his details," she said.

Brits would not be drawn into speculation if Phasha was intoxicated, only stating "police had probably carried out the right procedure including taking a blood sample."

Twitter traffic account @PigSpotter sent out a tweet early this morning implicating Phasha in the accident. The Wits law student was allegedly driving his mother’s Mercedes Benz G-Wagon at the time of the incident.

When asked for proof of his claims by his followers, @Pigspotter posted a photo of the car’s number plate as well as the car’s registration information.

The photo of the number plate was first posted by a Facebook user who witnessed the accident, asking if anyone knew how to track down the owner.

According to @PigSpotter who regularly tweets about police roadblocks, accidents and traffic incidents - Phasha did not stick around at the scene although police said this was not the case.

Phasha responded to Pig Spotter’s tweets this morning, calling the allegations false and said that he will release a statement.

Phasha starred in Vuzu's Rich Kids show several months ago. The show chronicled the lives of ten wealthy locals who were born into riches. In Phasha's episode, he boasts about his parents buying him a Rosebank batchelor pad in cash and also showed off a R60,000 watch and expensive Gucci jacket.
