Teacher and pupil gunned down outside Mthatha nightclub

A 25-year-old Ngqeleni school teacher and a 20-year-old pupil were gunned down outside a popular nightclub in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape during the early hours on Sunday morning. Mthatha police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela said the incident took place shortly after 1am outside So What Lounge in Southernwood. Both victims died on the scene.The teacher is from Phangalele Junior Secondary School in Ngqeleni and the pupil is from Zingisa Senior Secondary School near Mayden Farm in Mthatha."It is alleged that the two victims were shot by five armed men‚" said Fatyela. No arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident.It is‚ however‚ not clear whether they were together at the time of their deaths.A Daily Dispatch team which visited the scene this morning saw blood stains just near the fence of the club. Pieces of the yellow plastic used by police to mark out a crime scene were also still hanging on the fencing.-RDM News Wire..
