Kermit Erasmus joins French club Stade Rennais

Kermit Erasmus has left Orlando Pirates to join French League 1 side, Stade Rennais. In a surprise move, Stade Rennais confirmed the transfer late yesterday that the 25-year-old has joined them on a two-and-a-half-year contract."Stade Rennais FC is pleased to announce the signing of Kermit Erasmus. The South African international striker joined from Orlando Pirates," the club said on its website.The Port Elizabeth-born marksman previously played in the Netherlands, for Feyenoord and SBV Excelsior between 2008 and 2010, before returning home to join Supersport United. He later moved to Orlando Pirates.Erasmus, who has 11 Bafana Bafana caps, joins another South African international in the French league. Bafana right back Anele Ngcongca is at Troyes on loan from Belgian side, Genk.Rennais are fourth on the log, but trail runaway leaders Paris Saint-Germain by 26 points, while Ngcongca's Troyes are bottom after 22 matches...
