Magaliesberg man gored by neighbour’s boar

A 67-year-old man sustained serious injuries after he was attacked by a boar on a smallholding near the R24 in Magaliesberg‚ according to Netcare 911. Reports from the scene indicate that the pig belongs to the man’s neighbour and was kept in a holding pen on the neighbour’s property.At the time of the incident‚ the man was trying to get the pig back to its holding pen when it attacked him.Netcare 911’s Athlenda Mathe said that the man was bitten several times on his body and he had a number of bite wounds inflicted by the wild pig on both legs.Mathe said Netcare911 paramedics managed to stabilise the seriously injured man when they arrived on scene.Mathe was taken to a nearby hospital for further medical care and is reported to be in a stable condition.The incident happened on Tuesday morning at about 8.30. – TMG Digital..
