Gama lands Transnet job

Siyabonga Gama was appointed CE of state-run transport firm Transnet yesterday, confirming him in the post he has held in an acting capacity for a year. Gama was appointed acting CE last April, replacing Brian Molefe, who took over the helm of cash-strapped Eskom.Transnet is in better financial shape than other state-owned enterprises and late last year raised R12-billion for its locomotive fleet acquisition programme."Gama has spent the past 14 years in various executive positions at Transnet," Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown said. ..
