Killing rocks the Thundr

Pretoria police are investigating a case of murder after a bouncer was fatally shot at a nightclub in the Menlyn Piazza, Pretoria, early yesterday morning. According to witnesses, a group of seven people, including two women, were escorted out of Thundr Nightclub after one of them "caused trouble".Captain Jan Sepato of the Tshwane Central Cluster said an altercation broke out between the bouncer and one of the members of the group."The patron allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the 37-year-old bouncer in the upper body," said Sepato.Sepato said a 19-year-old suspect had been taken into custody and that the case was still under investigation.Thundr Nightclub, which was previously called Ty's, held its grand opening on Friday. Ty's closed down after the fatal stabbing of a patron by a bouncer in September.The club's management said it had "no comment" when contacted by The Times yesterday...
