The judge presiding over the Radovan Krejcir murder case on Tuesday lightened up the atmosphere in court with heartfelt advice.

The Johannesburg High Court was treated to the softer side of Judge Winston Msimeki on Tuesday.

Msimeki gave a nod to both defence and state prosecutor in the Krejcir matter for their attempts to settle whatever differences arose from the trial amongst themselves without needing the court to intervene.

“No matter how serious things get‚ you need to understand each other.

“You need to understand that which you give‚ will be given back.

“If the state and defence can get along‚ you will be surprised how smoothly and quickly things can go‚” Msimeki said before postponing the matter to Wednesday‚ due to Krejcir not having received food during lunch.

Krejcir and his four cohorts Siboniso Miya‚ Nkanyiso Mafunda‚ Siphiwe Memela and Luybomir Borislavov Grigorov were appearing for the murder of Lebanese alleged drug kingpin Sam Issa. They are also facing charges of conspiracy to commit robbery‚ conspiracy to commit murder and possession of illegal firearms and ammunition.
