Vuwani principal threatened

A high school principal in Vuwani, Limpopo, is living in fear after residents threatened to attack her should she return to the school she has managed for 15 years.The principal, who asked to remain anonymous, along with 22 teachers and 697 pupils, has not been to the school in the past three weeks.Vuwani residents took to the streets after a high court ruling that the area fall under the newly established Malamulele municipality. More than 20 schools were torched in the ensuing protests, and about 50 schools were closed.The principal told The Times that she started receiving threats two weeks after the protests simmered down.
