No bikinis in council, by order

Bathing suits, "boob dresses", muscle shirts, extreme miniskirts, political regalia, skintight pants, torn, faded and low-cut jeans, dresses above the knees, and overalls - red or any other colour - will be banned from the city of uMhlathuze's council and committee meetings next term.The dress code policy was adopted unanimously by the KwaZulu-Natal north coast municipality.Spokesman Mdu Ncalane said yesterday that, though no one has ever shown up to meetings in a bikini, a list of unacceptable items had to be compiled "to regulate the decorum of the council".The list includes hard hats, sportswear, T-shirts, hiking or military-style boots, sweat shirts and joggers, bare feet and aprons.Traditional attire will be allowed in council meetings...
