A woman was shot and killed and two other people have been injured in an apparent robbery gone awry in Stanger‚ KZN Paramedics said.
IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson Paul Herbst said that a woman had withdrawn money from a bank when she was confronted be several armed men.
"She had withdrawn a large sum of money and when they approached her a scuffle ensued and she was shot‚" he said.
"They then used her car to make their escape. Another person was shot in the head and is in a critical condition. A third bystander was wounded with a gunshot to the arm‚" Herbst said.
He said that the injured were transported by ambulance to local hospitals.
