Suspended Athletics SA president Leonard Chuene will know next week whether his application for an interdict against the SA Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee was successful.

Chuene and other ASA board members were suspended in November after a forensic audit alleged financial irregularities, mismanagement and tax evasion at ASA.

The athletics body was criticised for its handling of the Caster Semenya gender-testing saga.

Chuene applied this week to have his disciplinary hearing stopped. Scheduled for yesterday in the Johannesburg High Court, the hearing was postponed to next week.
