Speculation is mounting that celebrity chef Nigella Lawson is planning to divorce Charles Saatchi.
The herald.ie website reported yesterday that Lawson, 53, has confided in friends that she is close to ending her marriage with the 70-year-old millionaire art collector.
''Sources say a separation agreement is expected to be drawn up shortly and a divorce could be finalised in as little as two years,'' the report claimed.
Lawson, who has not been wearing her wedding ring in public since Saatchi was photographed holding her by the neck at a restaurant, has spent a second week away from their £14-million (R218-million) home in Chelsea.
She also moved her children from her first marriage, Cosima and Bruno, out of the house.
The Daily Telegraph reported on Sunday that Lawson had refused to dismiss claims that she was planning to divorce Saatchi.
Saatchi initially described the incident as a "playful tiff", claiming he had held Lawson's neck repeatedly to "emphasise my point" while the couple were discussing their children.
