Ryan O'Neal's son ordered back to rehab

The son of actor Ryan O'Neal and the late actress Farrah Fawcett was ordered to undergo one year of rehabilitation in connection with a no contest plea to drug and weapons possession charges.

Redmond O'Neal, 26, also must serve five years of probation, according to prosecution officials. He could have received three years in prison on the charges.

He was arrested on 2 August in Santa Monica, and police found heroin and marijuana in his car.

At the time he was on probation for a separate drug charge for which he was arrested in 2009. He completed one year of rehab in 2010.
