Kelly Khumalo's swift return to work after Meyiwa's sudden passing creates social media debate

Kelly Khumalo's grand appearance at the Chevrolet Feather awards last night, coupled with news that she'll be appearing in Rhythm City following the death of her boyfriend Senzo Meyiwa's has drawn strong opinion.

There may have been concerns that her return to the spotlight is too soon in light of the Meyiwa's murder, but she hit back saying: "Whether I came out today or 10 years from now there would still be a question: why did I come out?"

Opinions voiced on Facebook ranged from people being against Khumalo and asking why she was out in public so soon, with some pointing out that there are still many questions surrounding the death of Senzo Meyiwa so it is irresponsible and selfish for her to return to work. Others supported the singer, saying she had to make a living and had to resume with her life as soon as possible.
