According to People, Lindsay sparked pregnancy rumours recently when she took to Twitter to a link to a picture of herself wearing a fake baby bump in the 2009 film Labour Pains. The caption read, "Lindsay Lohan labour pains trailer – I am pregnant!!".
Now speaking to New York Post's Page Six on Wednesday, Lindsay's father, Michael Lohan, confirmed that his daughter is expecting.
He told the publication that he got the good news via text, saying "Daddy, I'm pregnant." When asked how far along she is, Michael responded by saying: "I don't know."
He told Inside Edition that he has no reason to doubt his daughter.
"I have no reason not to believe her. She is my daughter. She hasn’t lied to me. She hasn’t misled me. I go on what she tells me," he told the publication, before adding that the family would be there for Lindsay during her pregnancy.
The news comes in the middle of a rough week for the Mean Girls actress, after reports surfaced that she had claimed to have been abused and cheated on by Russian millionaire Egor Tarabasov. She reportedly later called off the couple's engagement.
Lindsay has had a strained relationship with her father in the past but over the past few years the two seemed to have made peace.
