Just what would you pay for a piece of Trevor Noah?

Since he’s become host of The Daily Show on US TV, it’s clear some will pay a small fortune for a tiny piece of him.

In a charity drive hosted by Comedy Central Africa on Thursday night at Melrose Arch, Johannesburg, an undisclosed bidder — known only as Daniel M — secured Noah’s tie for R25 000. But it is not just any old tie — it’s the Tiger of Sweden hand-made grey silk number that Noah wore on his Daily Show debut.

Local stores said the average price for that tie was R1 299.
