Jamie Bartlett taking it 'one step at a time' after horror hijacking

Rhythm City actor Jamie Bartlett says he felt a little fear and anxiety as the returned to work on Monday.

Jamie made headlines last week after it emerged that he was  hijacked in Brixton, Johannesburg.The hijackers drove Jamie around the city before dropping him off in Zonkizizwe township in Katlehong on the East Rand.

Jamie has refused all requests for interviews about the incident and did not report to work in the week following the ordeal.

However, the star returned to the set of Rhythm City on Monday

Jamie told fans that his first day brought a roller coaster of emotions.

"Little trepidation getting on the floor yesterday. Want to give him (Jamie's character) air and be more in the moment today. One step at a time," Jamie tweeted on Tuesday morning.

e.tv publicist Joe Strydom told TshisaLIVE that Jamie's first day back went smoothly they were glad to have him back.

"We can confirm that Jamie Bartlett is back with a bang. Jamie doesn't like to make a big fuss about things, so for him it was just business as usual," Joe said.
