WATCH: Too young to speak‚ a three-month-old recruits SA celebs to wish her dad a happy Father's Day

Three-month-old Addison Muller is too small to talk‚ so could not wish her dad a happy Father's Day herself - so some of the country's celebs did it for her.

Her mother‚ Liechen‚ managed to get cricket star AB de Villiers‚ rugby players Bryan Habana‚ Franco Smith‚ Cobus Grobbelaar‚ Wynand Olivier‚ and Antonie Claassen‚ and television stars Ivan Zimmermann and Angelique Gerber to wish Helgard Muller on his first Father's Day via video.

"The main idea was that Addie can't talk therefore other people did it on her behalf‚" she said.

Liechen's project started two months ago when she asked online friends to photograph a message to Helgard at landmarks around the world. She received messages from the United States‚ United Kingdom‚ Philippines‚ Dubai‚ Australia‚ Namibia‚ Switzerland‚ Germany‚ Japan‚ Columbia and Mexico.

She then "took a chance" by trying to get Helgard's favourite cricket player to send him a message via video.

"The first video I received was from AB de Villiers‚ which I never thought we would get. After that‚ I just kept telling myself that if we could get a video of his one hero‚ we can get the rest. We just asked and they agreed. My best friend knows someone who knows someone who explained our story to all the stars and then asked for the videos‚" Liechen said.

The couple struggled to have a child and at one point Liechen believed it would never happen.

"Helgard never lost hope. He is a wonderful husband and he was a great supporter through our IVF journey. He never missed an appointment and gave me all my shots with so much love and compassion. He is an amazing dad to Addie; the bond those two share is unbelievable. He deserves to be honoured for this. His biggest dream came true and the day meant a lot to him so had to be memorable‚" Liechen said.

Helgard was "overwhelmed and burst into tears" when he watched the video on Father's Day.

"I did not expect this. I have an amazing wife that went through so much to make this dream come true. She is my real hero. Today she just showed me how much she and Addie love me. When the three of us are together‚ the world is just perfect‚" he said.
