IN MEMES | Twitter left defeated after Ufelani’s ‘serial rapist’ episode
This woman was raped by a cop at the police station
"What must happen when the people that are supposed to help you and make you feel safe, are the ones that hurt you?"
This was the question that filled Twitter timelines after Wednesday's episode of Ufelani where it was revealed that a policeman was a serial rapist.
Tweeps heard the story of how Thandeka was one of several young women, who were raped at a police station by a police officer who was supposed to be helping them.
According to Thandeka the blue uniform has become a symbol of betrayal and terror.
Tweeps were disgusted when they heard that not only did the cop's colleagues know about the rape but that Thandeka was not the only victim.
In addition to that shock, it emerged that the women never took action against him and he never paid for his actions.
Society places their trust in police and as did Thandeka, traumatised as she was raped by a police officer at a police station. According to her, The blue uniform has become a symbol of betrayal and terror. #Ufelani Wed at 21h30 pic.twitter.com/WhyAWWfjDh

The cherry on top was when tweeps heard that the cop asked Thandeka if she was on any contraceptive when he was done.
Tweeps were shocked and disappointed in the system and they shared their hurt in memes.
